Camping Bled

On 1 April Camping Bled welcomed the first guests of the new season. Extensive renovation of the camping plots was finished just before the opening. These were enlarged, strengthened and given better drainage, so that they will remain dry even after heavy rain. Special attention has been paid to horticultural landscaping. New tree and shrub species have been planted, mostly those that will encourage the presence of birds on the campsite. In partnership with ornithologists, more than 150 different bird species have already been observed. Therefore, 60 new nesting boxes have been put up this year, making Camping Bled an even more welcoming habitat for birds. Camping Bled was certified as being a cyclist-friendly campsite in 2008. Cyclists are offered free-of-charge storage of bicycles, baggage and equipment, lending of first-aid kits, the option of cycle cleaning and laundry of clothing, as well as drying of cyclists’ clothing and shoes. In addition, a trained mountain bike guide is at hand, while our staff will also be pleased to assist you to organise cycling tours, ensure accommodation reservations, as well as the transfer of cyclists and bicycles or baggage only. We have wirelless internet on the whole campsite and it is free of charge.
